Dog Days of Summer Mini Sessions are one of the highlights of our summers and is hard to believe we’ve been hosting this fundraiser for the past 9 years!
We started hosting the Dog Days of Summer Mini Session Fundraiser to help dog owners get great photographs with the special dogs in their lives and to give back to a great cause! The annual event benefits local dog rescue, Friends of the Shelter in Columbus, Ohio. We are honored to help support Friends of the the Shelter and the great work they do helping fund the medical care of the sick and injured dogs at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in Columbus, Ohio. This year’s 9th Annual Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser was a success and with local support, we were able to raise $800 for Friends of the Shelter! We made some wonderful images of local dog owners and their dogs at the beautiful Park of Roses in Columbus, Ohio.
It’s always a treat to capture families with their dogs! I had so much fun working with Nicole, Dave, Andrew, Lexie, and their dog Zoey during their family portrait session last year. We went to Highbanks Metro Park which has many dog-friendly areas that are great for photographs. We captured the family amongst wooded and grassy areas, and on the banks of the Olentangy River. We loved working with everyone including their Rhodesian Ridgeback dog, Zoey!
I’m so excited to feature Jeffrey’s first birthday session! I’ve been blessed to know his parents Jack and Karla as friends and past wedding clients and was so honored to capture their son Jeffrey’s 1st birthday portraits! Jeffrey is a bright-eyed, smart, curious, and happy boy who loves playing with his toys, snuggling with his parents, and reading. It was such a treat to capture him and his wonder for the world during his session, along with some updated family portraits of him with Jack and Karla.
Since Ohio weather can be unpredictable in the spring, we scheduled their session at local studio, The Barn at Be Changed Studio in Westerville. It was a beautiful location for Jeffrey’s session and we were able to capture Jeffrey and their family portraits in a unique space.
I loved every second of working with the James family last summer at the Everal Barn in Westerville! Family photos are one of the best ways to capture your loved ones for all time and they are one of my favorite things to photograph. It was such a treat to capture 3 generations of the James family - grandparents, parents and aunts, and grandchildren - all together for their family portraits. Time goes by fast and children grow up quickly, so it’s extra special when extended families can gather together and capture little ones before their next growth spurt.
A very special congratulations to Taryn and Matt on their growing family! It feels like yesterday I was capturing their big day and it was such an honor to capture them with their son, Hunter in the studio. Hunter is a handsome little guy and was so photogenic and easy to work with in the studio. With his birthday happening during the holiday season, we were able to incorporate some fun Christmas themed props. Enjoy some of my favorites from Hunter's session!
Family portraits are hands down one of my favorite things to photograph. I loved welcoming the Pease family into the studio and working with them again! I first met them all during Hannah and Joel's wedding last spring. (It's hard to believe that it's already been a year!)
Since that time, Hannah and Joel had their daughter Olivia and Hannah's dad had been wanting to get a family portrait of everyone together. This past weekend we got to make that happen! :-)
Baby Olivia is one of the sweetest babies and totally rocked her blue and white headband and a smile during their session! One of the perks of a family portrait session, is that we're able to take a lot of different group shots so they can enjoy a variety in their photographs. We definitely had some fun during our time together.

It was such an honor to welcome past wedding client Alicia and her husband to the studio for her Beauty and Bridal Glam the Dress Portrait Session! We love being able to provide this experience to women to help them celebrate themselves and make images they'll treasure forever.
Not only were we able to capture her in her fabulous wedding dress, a 2015 Princess Tianna style from Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Bridal Collection by Alfred Angelo Bridal, but we were able to photograph her in a couple of her other favorite dresses. We had a blast working with past wedding client Melissa during her Beauty and Bridal Glam the Dress Portrait Session at the studio! So excited to share a behind the scenes look featuring Melissa's session! I love being able to provide this experience to women to help them celebrate themselves and make images they'll treasure forever.
For her session, Melissa wanted to be photographed in her favorite dress, her wedding dress! It was such a treat to capture her in her wedding gown one more time. She also got to play with an elegant look pairing our black tulle shirt with a black top and some jewelry. Miss Olivia has reached her 6 month milestone! We had so much fun welcoming her back to the studio to capture her at this age. She's such a happy and beautiful baby! 6 months is one of my favorite ages to photograph little ones - their personalities really start to show. Enjoy some of my favorites of sweet Olivia!
