A few years ago, I never suspected that I'd be photographing head shots! It's quickly becoming one of my new favorite things to photograph. We live in a world where most of us are putting a professional profile photo out in the world. First impressions are important and it is so exciting when you have a fresh, professional, and inviting head shot that makes people want to same hello!

It was such a pleasure to welcome Jessie and her daughter Wesley into the studio for some updated professional profile shots! We even got to take some mother daughter portraits of the two of them. Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!

2016 Howliday Bazaar Dog Portraits - Benefiting Friends of the Shelter

For the past 3 years, we've had the honor of being the photographer for the local non-profit Friends of the Shelter's Annual Howliday Bazaar! This is one of our favorite events to photograph! The bazaar is a fundraiser a mix of pet themed craft and gift items, yummy baked goods for yourself and your pet, and you can even bring your pet and have their photo taken with Santa or a snowy scene. All proceeds from the bazaar are used to help sick and injured dogs at the shelter to get the medical care they need to become well and find their forever home.

I wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported this year's Howliday Bazaar at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. Between everyone who donated items for the sale, baked, shopped, had photos taken and donated financially, this year's bazaar raised $5,700!

Lindsay & Brian Wedding: Liberty Presbyterian Church & the Annunciation Banquet & Conference Center, Columbus, Ohio

Annunciation Banquet & Conference Center | Columbus, Ohio

From the breathtaking views of the ceremony at Liberty Presbyterian Church in Delaware (aka the Liberty Barn Church), to their fun-filled wedding reception at the Annunciation Banquet & Conference Center in downtown Columbus, Lindsay and Brian's wedding was one to remember! The venues highlighted their love of the outdoors and their desire to have a wedding that highlighted the celebration with their family and friends.

Liberty Barn Church is one of my favorite churches and is a popular choice for many engaged couples! The large wood beams and decor have an incredible way of making ceremonies both rustic and majestic. One of my favorite parts of the ceremony is when Lindsay was walked down the aisle by both her dad and step-dad!

After the ceremony, the couple braved the cold for a beautiful bubble exit and some portraits outside the church, before heading downtown to the Hilton for some additional wedding party and couple portraits.

The Annunciation Banquet and Conference is part of the iconic Greek Orthodox Cathedral in the heart of the Arena district and Short North. It's large dance floor was the perfect for Lindsay, Brian, and their guests to celebrate the night away!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with them both and cannot wait to see what the future holds for them!

Sharron + John: Ohio State University Engagement Session, Columbus, Ohio

I can't wait for Sharron and John's wedding this Saturday! It feels like yesterday I was meeting Sharron and John for the first time at a coffee shop! I've really enjoyed getting to know them both over the past several months. With their wedding right around the corner, I wanted to make sure I featured some of my favorites on the blog before their wedding tomorrow!

While we held their engagement session at Ohio State, the couple actually met in 2009 while attending Capital University. John recently went back to school and earned his Masters in Accounting from Ohio State, so we decided to visit OSU's campus for their engagement session. We had a enjoyed a beautiful, but cooler spring day for their session.

They share a very special connection and it's easy to see that they're a perfect match! Their positive attitudes and laughter made for a lot of fun during their photo shoot!

Cynthia + Chris: Slate Run Metro Park Engagement Session, Canal Winchester

I'm getting so excited for Cynthia and Chris's big day! We had a lot of fun during their engagement session at Slate Run Metro Park in Canal Winchester earlier this summer, that I wanted to make sure I featured some of my favorites on the blog before they tie the knot tomorrow!

We had the perfect night for their engagement photographs at the park and enjoyed the pond, fields, and covered bridge at Slate Run! Cynthia and Chris are actually big fans of Joker and Harley Quinn from Batman, and their wedding day will feature a few Joker-Harley Quinn details and the Joker's purple and green colors. As a special treat, Chris is a painter and used his painting talents to paint one-of-a-kind Joker and Harley Quinn Chuck Taylors that they will wear on their wedding day! We had fun getting some photographs with their beautiful hand-painted shoes at the end of their session.

I've really enjoyed getting to know them and cannot wait for their wedding tomorrow. Congratulations to them both! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement session!

Rebecca + Chris Engagement: Inniswood Metro Gardens, Westerville, Ohio

It's hard to believe Rebecca and Chris's big day is almost here! It feels like just yesterday we were enjoying a beautiful fall day during their engagement session at Inniswood Metro Gardens.

Rebecca and Chris met while attending Otterbein University and quickly bonded over their love of music, something that they can enjoy and share for a lifetime! Both have gone on to continue to pursue their passion for music as band and choir directors.

It's been so much fun getting to know them both over the past several months. They are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet and I cannot wait to capture their big day this weekend! Congratulations to them both! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement session!

Erica + James Engagement Session: Inniswood Metro Gardens, Westerville, Ohio

A special congratulations to Erica and James on their upcoming wedding! It's been so much fun getting to know them both over the past year and I cannot wait to capture their wedding day this weekend. They are such sweethearts! They've put a lot of effort into some personal touches for their wedding day that I can't wait to see their vision for a rustic, and lovebird themed wedding! :-)

For their engagement session, they wanted a nice variety of settings in their photographs so we ventured to one of my favorite places, Inniswood Metro Gardens! We were blessed to have a beautiful summer day to wander and explore the gardens. Enjoy some of my favorites from their session.

Kristen + Joe: Engagement Session - Ohio State University Campus, Columbus, Ohio

It's another "Buckeye" couple's wedding! A special congrats to Kristen and Joe on their wedding this weekend. I can't wait to capture their big day tomorrow! :-)

Kristen and Joe met while attending Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Since the couple are Buckeye alumni, OSU's campus was the perfect setting for their engagement session. We enjoyed strolling through campus and visiting some of their favorite spots like Mirror Lake and the Oval. The couple even brought their sweet dog Luna! It was such a treat that they included their furry family member! We had so much fun during their session, enjoy some of my favorite images!

Can't wait for their big day this weekend!
