8th Annual Dog Days of Summer Mini Sessions - Whetstone Park of Roses - Columbus, Ohio

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since we started our annual, Dog Days of Summer Mini Session Fundraiser! We are so blessed to be able to host this fun event helping dog owners get great photographs with the special dogs in their lives, all while giving back to a great cause! The annual event benefits local dog rescue, Friends of the Shelter in Columbus, Ohio. We are honored to help support Friends of the the Shelter and the great work they do helping fund the medical care of the sick and injured dogs at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in Columbus, Ohio. This year’s 8th Annual Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser was a success and with local support, we were able to raise $1,000 for Friends of the Shelter! We made some wonderful images of local dog owners and their dogs at the beautiful Park of Roses in Columbus, Ohio.

Spring Family & Pet Portrait Session - Puppy Dog In-Home Portraits - Columbus, Ohio

I love all dogs, but it’s hard not to melt when meeting a new puppy! I recently had the honor of capturing Yorkie puppy Teeghan and his siblings Piper, Fozzie, and Bennie with their moms, Ashley and Steph. Teeghan had just been welcomed home the week before his portrait session and Ashley wanted to make sure that he got his ‘close-up’ while he was still a young pup! I’m so glad we were able to capture him with my camera when I did, as he’s been growing fast!

It was such a treat to photograph them at their home. In-home sessions are an incredible way of capturing your loved ones somewhere that is special to you and to make a new memory in your home! Pets are a such an important part of the family, and it’s always an honor to capture them as a family member, not just a pet. We made some great photographs of the dogs, as well as with their person.

Baby Daniel and Family Portraits - In-Home Session - Columbus, Ohio

Hello Baby Daniel! There’s always something magical about capturing little ones! I had the honor of photographing Daniel and his family in the comfort of their home, during an in-home portrait session earlier this spring. Daniel was about 6 weeks old for the session and his personality and curiosity for the world was starting to shine through.

Samantha Turns 1: Birthday Session & Party - Friendship Park - Gahanna, Ohio

Miss Samantha has grown so much over the past year! You can just see her little personality radiating from every inch of her! Most notable are all of the expressions that she seems to have. It was such a treat to be able to capture her with some of her closet loved ones during her 1 Year Birthday Party and Portrait Session at Friendship Park in Gahanna. The park was the perfect location for the party as well as offered some wonderful scenery for portraits.

Ariana Newborn & Family Portrait Session: Inniswood Metro Gardens - Westerville, Ohio

This past spring the Gonzalez family welcomed Miss Ariana! I was so excited to meet her and to capture their family in their own portrait session shortly after they brought her home from the hospital in May. I've had the honor of capturing each of their children's portraits from newborn until present day. They wanted newborn photographs of Ariana, but also wanted a large focus to be on all the kids and the family during their session. We ventured to Inniswood Metro Gardens in Westerville, Ohio - a local favorite spot known for it's beautiful gardens that are maintained and plants changed throughout the year. I joke that "it's always blooming"! As usual, it was a gorgeous setting and a perfect May evening for photos.

My favorite part of the session was seeing older siblings Emilia and Damian so excited and in awe of their little sister. Enjoy some of my favorite photographs from their session!

Liam Newborn Portraits: In-Home Session, London, Ohio

Two of our dear friends, Sandy and Shane, welcomed their little boy, Liam, just a couple of weeks ago! It's been wonderful to meet their son and to document their happiness during this exciting time.

For Liam's newborn session, we decided to have the photo shoot in their home. One of the great things about having a newborn session at home is the ability to use and feature some of the important rooms, decor, and meaningful props in the session without needing to move props from their home to our studio.

We started in their baby-Stars Wars themed nursery, and incorporated other rooms in their home during the session. We were able to feature Liam wearing some of their favorite outfits, including a beautiful grey and green sweater that one of Liam's aunts made for him. It was such an honor to capture Liam and their family's portraits. We are excited for them as they begin the new adventure of parenthood with Liam. :-) Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!

Rory 4 Month Portraits: Gahanna, Ohio

Loved every second of Rory's 4-month session in the studio with her parents! My brother-in-law Zac and his wife Toni welcomed Rory back in September. It's been so exciting seeing her grow these past few months and we love being able to call her our niece. :-)

I love capturing little ones in the studio, but I was thrilled that we could include mom and dad in photos and make some family portraits. There's truly no better way to celebrate and recognize one's family unit than through photographs that you all will treasure of all time.

Everett & Merisa's Mommy & Me Valentine Session: Gahanna, Ohio

I had so much fun working with Everett and his mom Merisa in the studio to put together a special gift for his dad this Valentine's day! Everett is a little over a year old and a healthy and happy toddler! It's been wonderful capturing him as he's been growing this past year. He had a lot of fun exploring the studio and playing with our Valentine Day props. We captured some great moments of him and with his mom - talk about a great way to "I love you" in photos their family will treasure!
