Spring Family & Pet Portrait Session - Puppy Dog In-Home Portraits - Columbus, Ohio

Spring Family & Pet Portrait Session - Puppy Dog In-Home Portraits - Columbus, Ohio

I love all dogs, but it’s hard not to melt when meeting a new puppy! I recently had the honor of capturing Yorkie puppy Teeghan and his siblings Piper, Fozzie, and Bennie with their moms, Ashley and Steph. Teeghan had just been welcomed home the week before his portrait session and Ashley wanted to make sure that he got his ‘close-up’ while he was still a young pup! I’m so glad we were able to capture him with my camera when I did, as he’s been growing fast!

It was such a treat to photograph them at their home. In-home sessions are an incredible way of capturing your loved ones somewhere that is special to you and to make a new memory in your home! Pets are a such an important part of the family, and it’s always an honor to capture them as a family member, not just a pet. We made some great photographs of the dogs, as well as with their person.

Reesie and Anya Dog Portrait Session - Studio and Creekside Park and Plaza - Gahanna, Ohio

Reesie and Anya Dog Portrait Session - Studio and Creekside Park and Plaza - Gahanna, Ohio

It’s no secret, pet portraits, especially dog portraits, have a special place in our hearts and we love capturing pets with their people. Last month we had the honor of photographing Anya and her dog Reesie. Reesie is a Beaglier, (a Beagle/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), and is an absolute delight! She was laid back, very sweet, and a natural for the camera, especially if some tasty treats were involved.

Reesie is Anya’s self described “canine soulmate” and it was easy to see the special connection that they both have. Anya has had Reesie since she was 4 months old and will be celebrating Reesie’s 12th birthday this June!

We started their portrait session indoors at our studio before heading to Creekside Park and Plaza in Gahanna for additional photos outdoors. We were able to capture a great blend of studio portraits and also the beautiful winter snowy landscape in Ohio. I loved every second of working with Anya and Reesie and am grateful for the opportunity to meet them and capture the love and bond that they share.
