Mark your calendars for the 17th Annual 5k for K9s benefitting local non-profit, Friends of the Shelter! The event will be held on Saturday, 9/27/25 at 9:00am at Alum Creek State Park. You'll love the 5K run/walk along the beach, through the woods and across the dam! The run/walk kicks off at 9 a.m., with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
All proceeds benefit Friends of the Shelter, helping sick and injured dogs at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Muschlitz Photography is excited to photograph this event.
In addition to their fun, soft t-shirts that are always a hit, each participant will also receive a medal commemorating how you helped save the sick & injured shelter dogs.
Walk/run at the beach or virtually! The annual run/walk will be held both virtually AND in person. If you prefer, you can participate in the race virtually from Sept. 25-28.
Thanks to their generous sponsors, 100% of the proceeds raised goes directly to the dogs! You’ll have a great time knowing you helped save a dog’s life!
5K for K9s auctions and raffles will also be available online.
